London Fashion Week Presentations AW17

Day One of London Fashion Week 2017 was an ode to the sartorial splendour of the capital city. The presentations held at the Royal Society of Arts, although each exhibiting the idiosyncratic style of the designer, altogether exuded an atmosphere of sophistication and new age vibrancy.

MINKI

Minki's AW17 presentation featured a whimsical collection of haute couture, with each design grabbing the eye through its use of texture, colour and shape. The addition of colourful vignettes projected on screens added a touch of modernism, showing the ever-evolving nature of fashion as it tries to combine traditional presentation methods with contemporary technology exhibition.

STEVEN TAI

The highlight of the Painting Rooms Presentations was undoubtedly Steven Tai's Sleep Now, Work Later collection. Its magic lay in the simplicity of the exhibition, as the designer chose a minimal colour palette and polished props to present the elegant designs. The presentation as a whole emanated grace and elegance, making it the perfect ending to a day of trendspotting.
