London Fashion Week AW18 Presentation
Edeline Lee's The Forest Reverie was an ode to Romanticism. The designer's unique presentation saw her pieces showcased in a forest-like setting, the mounds of green grass and the blue sky backdrop complementing the colour blocking of her pieces. Each dress, exquisitely tailored, was given its due time in the spotlight as the models floated through the scene numerous times during the two-hour long event.
A peaceful ambience enveloped the whole room, in part due to the soft melodies playing overhead but also because of the quiet audience, who sat around the forest stage in perfect tranquility. Lee's innovative showcase of her designs allowed each piece to be admired in its entirety, all the while highlighting why designers are increasingly electing to hold presentations rather than showcase their designs on a traditional catwalk stage. Her event was a much-needed respite from the usually chaotic atmosphere of Fashion Week, showing there indeed can be serenity in the sartorial world.
